GOLDEN PERILS is a journal dedicated to the Bloody Pulps, which was
produced, edited and published by Howard Hopkins in the mid 80s-early 90s.
Dubbed the "prettiest fanzine in pulpdom" it featured articles and artwork
on the pulps, Dark Shadows, Old Time Radio and Movie Serials, as well as
other pulp-connected cross-overs in the comics and television and anything
else that struck the editor's peculiar interests. The magazine sported a
less serious approach to pulp study, always striving to take itself, for
the most part, with tongue firmly in cheek. Its last produced print
issue was number 20, but perhaps someday it will return...
Update: That day has come. Golden Perils is now available
as pulpdom's premiere electronic pulp journal!
Update: The Gray Nemesis available again in Print
and PDF. See below for details.

About the issue: All articles and artwork by Howard Hopkins. Early
version of what later became The Gray Nemesis book. This first issue
was riddled with typos and spelling mistakes, but produced on a little Smith
Corona portable with no correction capabilities, so sue me...
